365 Tao, entry 28 Accountability

In my opinion, experience trumps the recital of antiquated phrases in a distant social context. As such, our experiences refresh our consciousness more often than ancient writings in a far off time. In fact, we must live the words in which we claim true and virtuous. In other words, live the Tao, so one learns the mistakes that require corrections. The Tao spoken is not the Tao.

Marie Osmond’s Son Commits Suicide, Depression

Suicide warning signs are seen in 75% of suicide deaths. However, some depression patients demonstrate no signs of a pending suicide attempt. If you see the signs of depression, you may be more informed than the person. Untreated depression is the number one cause for suicide!

Andrew Koenig and Depression

Andrew Koenig, the actor who played “Boner” on the series “Growing Pains” took his own life a few days ago. The actor reportedly has suffered from clinical depression over the past several years. Sadly, Andrew succumbed to what he conceived as his only way out.
